Who we are.
Kontora’s capital management company was founded in December 2014 and licensed by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) in June 2015. The parent company was and is the Kontora Family Office. And the capital management company was launched by popular request. Clients often suggested that Kontora could create opportunities in terms of strategy and implementation and bring together several investors as part of club deals.
We thought that was a good idea. Following the transposition of the European AIFM Directive into the German Capital Investment Code (KAGB), we established a fully regulated capital management company. The goal was to continue the successful family office model, which involves creating club deals, developing our own strategies, and managing investment opportunities under one roof.
As a result, we have all the tools and structuring options for our clients to make investments. By structuring our own offerings as a licensed capital management company, our clients have all the infrastructure to create the vehicles they need. Kontora Kapitalverwaltungs GmbH is an independent partner that acts in your interest.
