Sustainability

We understand sustainability as a balance between ecology, social responsibility, and economic viability. For us, it means working in a way that fulfills our responsibility to future generations: operating within planetary boundaries while preserving both the wealth and the values of our clients over the long term.

But sustainability is more than just a value-driven orientation. In a financial world shaped by constant change and dynamism, it serves as our compass. Capital has the power to actively shape society. We are convinced that entrepreneurial action can drive societal change – and that true long-term success is sustainable success.

As a licensed capital management company, we place our clients and their diverse needs at the center of everything we do and provide comprehensive support on sustainability matters. Based on a disciplined due diligence process, we enable the clients of the Kontora Family Office to access investments worldwide. In every investment decision, we consider not only the traditional return/risk profile but also conduct an impartial assessment of sustainability aspects in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We do not rely blindly on labels or ratings – instead, we carefully evaluate the real impact of invested capital.

Our aim is to make conscious, value-driven investment decisions for our clients and to support them in implementing individual sustainability strategies in accordance with regulatory requirements. In 2023, we expanded our offering as a capital management company to include custom-tailored fund-of-funds solutions with sustainability features pursuant to Article 8 of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

Global challenges call for sustainable solutions and innovative investment models. The financial sector can play a key role in driving positive change. We firmly believe that sustainability is not a passing trend, but a long-term investment opportunity. We look forward to tailoring sustainable investment strategies even more closely to the individual needs of our clients in the future.

Article 8 Funds

We feel a responsibility to invest in our shared future – and in that of generations to come. For our Article 8 funds, we actively seek investment opportunities with the greatest potential, aiming to uncover attractive risk–return profiles while contributing to a better future. To achieve this, we seek to allocate the majority of invested capital to target investments that achieve at least a score of 2.0 under the ESG scoring methodology of Kontora Kapitalverwaltungs GmbH. A detailed description of this ESG scoring methodology can be found in the respective document pursuant to Article 10 of the Disclosure Regulation.
